Guayaquil adds a new tourist attraction to the existing ones, as of October 26th, 2016 La Perla was inaugurated; the ferris wheel allows to observe the city with a magnificent panoramic view from its 188.64 feet (57.5 m) height, which makes it the first giant wheel of Ecuador and the largest ferris wheel in South America.
La Perla is located on Malecon Simon Bolívar and Loja St, it has 36 capsules that can carry 216 passengers and the journey takes between 7 to 10 minutes.
You can enjoy this attraction from Sunday to Thursday from 10H00 to 22H00 and Fridays and Saturdays from 10H00 to 24H00. The ticket office opens at 09H00.
Tickets from Monday to Friday are $ 3.50. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are $ 4.99.
Seniors or people with physical disabilities pay Monday through Friday $ 1.74. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays $ 2.50.
If you want to avoid queues you can buy express tickets from Monday to Friday for $ 7.00. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays $ 10.00.
