The Ministry of Tourism reported that in 2019 new airlines and frequencies will be added to operate in Ecuador. Air France, Peruvian, Plus Ultra and Viva Air are the companies that will start operations in the country.
Plus Ultra will offer flights Madrid-Quito-Guayaquil-Madrid starting in July. The airline has planned three weekly frequencies (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). The company has enabled ticket reservations with this destination on its website, for July 12.
In addition to the entry of new airlines, JetBlue will increase to seven its daily flights to and from Fort Lauderdale-Guayaquil.
The low-cost airline Spirit operates daily flights with seven weekly frequencies, to and from Fort Lauderdale – Guayaquil. Its operations began in 2018.
Aero Mexico increased the number of direct flights Mexico City- Quito – Mexico City. It currently operates 12 weekly frequencies.
Air-Europa increased operation Madrid-Quito-Guayaquil-Madrid, with three weekly frequencies in the low season and five in the high season.
Laser Airlines covers the route between the cities of Caracas (Venezuela) and Guayaquil (Ecuador), with three weekly frequencies. Started operations since 2018.
