Once again the international airport José Joaquin de Olmedo obtained international awards.

These were given by the Airports Council International (ACI) when conducting surveys to 700,000 passengers at 400 airports around the world during 2016.

The awards are: Best Latin American and Caribbean Airport, Best Latin American and Caribbean Airport from 2 to 5 million passengers and Best Airport in the world from 2 to 5 million passengers.
